Atlanta Marketing Firm Helps Bring Together 2018 World Trade Day

Atlanta Marketing Firm Helps Honor the International Trade Community

The 2nd annual World Trade Day was held on May 4th at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta. The event, live-streamed to over 300 World Trade Centers around the world, convened thought leaders and executives to foster key conversations and connections regarding innovation’s expanding role in global trade and investment relations and included keynote speaker Bryson Koehler, CTO, IBM Watson & IBM Cloud.

This year’s forward-thinking event hosted 25% more attendees and sponsors than last year’s inaugural event.  Atlanta marketing firm, EWISE Communications president, Joanne Sanders, served as Vice Chair of this year’s event. With her extensive experience and understanding of international marketing, Joanne led the strategic planning of conference subject matter, sponsorship packages, on-site materials, collateral, etc.

Joanne recruited several industry experts to speak, including Mary Butler, Chief Technology Officer, Dornier MedTech, Mary Waters, Deputy Commissioner International Trade, Georgia Department of Economic Development, Iliana Malinov, CPA, Director International Tax, HLB Gross Collins, and Maureen Halstedt, Director, Global Product Manager, KaMin LLC. She also moderated “Growing Globally – What’s Holding You Back? Identifying and Addressing Pain Points,” a well-received, lively session identifying and addressing the challenges and pain points of going global, and the tools available for a growth trajectory.

Portman Holdings Vice Chair, John C. (Jack) Portman III was on hand to honor former Atlanta Mayor and U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young with the inaugural John C. Portman Leadership Award, named after his late father.

Joanne’s experience in developing and leading strategic and tactical global marketing programs, her hard work, and commitment helped contribute to World Trade Day’s remarkable success!
