SITUATION

After losing its General Manager, Digital Ignition, a coworking and shared office space in Alpharetta, GA, was struggling to attract new members. Although strategically located in Forsyth County, a major technology hub in southeastern U.S., lack of vision, direction, and overall branding was contributing to a 10% occupancy rate and low morale among members.

 

SOLUTION

The EWISE Communications marketing team was brought in as GM and immediately began interviewing members in an effort to identify obstacles and quickly implement change. Utilizing member input, we:

  • Implemented internal communication practices to help boost morale
  • Established strategic relationships with ATDC, a best-in-class Georgia Tech incubator.
  • Strengthened relationship with Forward Forsyth, the county’s economic development division.
  • Managed digital marketing efforts to attract new audiences via social media.
  • Expanded Twitter and LinkedIn social media presence
  • Planned on-site events that included securing high visibility speakers, arranging town hall meetings, and coordinating a Hack-a-Thon event for emerging technology companies
  • Engaged with movie industry professionals to facilitate an on-site TV shoot

 

RESULTS

After only six months, Digital Ignition began benefiting from the success of our marketing and branding efforts and now enjoys a 95% occupancy rate.   Given the new company it had become, we coordinated a ribbon cutting with the Lt. Governor or Georgia and state economic development teams.  Furthermore, Digital Ignition has become the official incubator for Forsyth County and an economic treasure for the county, helping to drive more business in Forsyth.
